Christmas light
tour of Parliament Hill
Christmas is a wonderful time
to tour the scenic sights of the National Capital. Every year, a
corporate sponsor such as FedEx, finances the decoration of
Parliament Hill and the Ceremonial Route. Over 240,000 colored
lights are used to decorate Parliament Hill alone!
Select
one of our six or eight passenger stretch limousines for the tour.
A bottle of bubbly is of course included to make the occasion
festive.
Your tour will commence on Elgin Street or Colonel
By Drive and pass around the War Memorial, up Wellington Street
and past Parliament Hill – the spectacular centerpiece of the
Ceremonial Route. Continuing past the Supreme Court and National
Archives, we travel across the Portage Bridge and Victoria Island,
past the Museum Civilization and around colorful fountains of the
Casino de Hull and Hilton Hotel. We return via the Alexandra
Bridge past Major Hill Park to the Chateau Laurier. Security
measures introduced after 9/11 no longer allow vehicles to tour
directly on Parliament Hill.
In certain neighborhoods,
there are some truly marvelous decorating efforts. For clients
picked up in the Orleans / Gloucester area Taffy Lane is one such
effort. In the Albion Road area, Mozart Court has a home with a
fantastic display.
All Sovereign Limousine vehicles are
equipped with state of the art, high fidelity audio / visual
systems and we encourage you to bring your own CD’s or video
tapes. | |
